Candy Cane Brownie Cake PopsGot Candy Canes? Then make some of these Candy Cane Brownie Cake Pops!!! Don’t let the idea of making Cake Pops by scratch scare you because they are a lot easier to make then you think.

I made these Candy Cane Brownie Cake Pops for my family Christmas this year really with my daughter in mind. One day we had gone to Starbucks so I could get my caffeine fill while out xmas shopping and on their menu they had these Cake Pops and my daughter ordered one and loved it. So I asked if she wanted me to make some for our holiday party – of course she said yes.

Well to be honest I had never made Brownie Cake Pops before or even Cake Pops without using my Cake Pop Maker. So I googled it and found it was not hard to do at all – so with that I went to work. I was surprised by how easy they were to make and anyone can do it, trust me.

Here is what I used to make my Candy Cane Brownie Cake Pops:

  • 1 Box of Fudgy Brownies
  • White Melting Chocolate Wafers
  • Crushed Candy Canes
  • Various Holiday Sprinkles
  • Lollipop Sticks

All I did was prepare my Fudgy Brownies – very important to get the Fudgy kind. I baked them in a normal baking dish and let them cool. After they were cooled off I just crumbled it all up and rolled them into balls. The moisture from the extra fudge make them moist enough to not need to add anything else in them such as frosting which most other cake balls require. Isn’t that great?

I placed them on a tray and put them into my fridge to get cool and harden up a bit before dipping them into the melted chocolate. Once that is done melt your chocolate – I do mine with a double boiler.

Then dip the end of your Lollipop Stick in the chocolate and then into one of your Brownie Balls. Then Coat the ball with your melted chocolate. Then while the chocolate is still wet sprinkle on some of the Crushed Candy Canes. I also did some with sprinkles for those who may not like Candy Canes.

Now I cheated and did my Cake Pops upside down vs. standing up on the stick – I was just lazy about digging out my Cake Pop holder, lol. Either way it works. I just laid mine of wax paper until they hardened up.

That is it!!! The brownie inside was so moist and they were a big hit with everyone. I will definitely do these again for other parties – the combo of chocolate and candy cane is soooo yummy. So if you have Candy Canes left over from the holiday now you know what you can do with them. In addition to that Candy Canes come in all colors and flavors and you can have a lot of fun mixing it up anytime of year.
