I created these FREE Printable Pink Skull Lunch Box Notes for my own daughter, but thought I would share with any one wanting to print them for theirs. Lunch Box Notes are little notes you stick into your child’s lunch to let them know you are thinking of them. I have always stuck notes into my kids lunches when they bring them to school and it makes them SMILE.

My daughter just entered Middle School so I wanted to create some that were a little more hip. I have some with sayings on them which are super cute and I can write any special messages to the back. Then I have made some that are Coupons to match – I use these if I am feeling generous and write in something special she can cash it in for. Then I have left some blank to write in whatever you want. All of them are available for Printing.

Yes I must say these are pretty gory cookies I made and they may look scary, but they are still quite Delicious. These Bloody Chocolate Chip Cookies would be a perfect treat for your Halloween Party, Twilight Party or a Vampire Party Theme. They are super easy to create and I am going to show you how right here, if you are not to scared to see.

So what made me make Bloody Chocolate Chip Cookies? Well I had seen them before and I happen to have all the items on hand and thought I would give it a try.

Most everybody loves Chocolate Chip Cookies and if you are planning a Halloween Party for the Kids they are an easy thing to make and display on the table for some extra fun. Yes they are kinda Gross looking, but that is the fun of them. Let me also say that I added a real Butcher Knife for my photo and obviously if I were serving these at a party I would not have a real Knife on the plate – silly!!! BUT I would definitely add a Fake Costume Knife for the effect – this way no one gets hurt especially the baker if the cookies are a bit over done – lol.

So here is all you need to create these Bloody Chocolate Chip Cookies:

• Chocolate Chip Cookies of course – I made mine from a Refrigerated Roll
• Betty Crocker’s Red Cookie Icing

Yup that is it – OH and some Little Vampires who will enjoy them when they are done.

So start with Baking your Chocolate Chip Cookies and Cool them. Then get out your Betty Crocker Cookie Icing – Red of course.

Now take your Red Icing and start by going across the top of your cookie. Then make your blood drips going down in different lengths. There is no right or wrong here so have fun and make them each different. That is it – How easy is that? The Red Icing will harden while it sits so the cookies can be handled easily.

These Bloody Chocolate Chip Cookies can sit on a plate alone and still be scary, but when you add a Butcher Knife it just kicks it up a notch. Again my knife is real for photo purposes only – If you are serving these at a party use a Fake Costume Knife (like i really have to tell you that). I added a little extra Red Icing to the blade on a few drips on the plate to tie it all in.

To make sure they were not too scary for kids – I called in my own Little Vampire to try them out.

She said they were “Bloody Good Cookies”.

The new hottest trend in Kids Parties these days are Candy Buffets and Dessert Buffets. It is all about your display of delicious treats for your party guests to choose from. When I saw these Kandy Kones created by Geneviève, my Party Peep, at Celebrate Today I knew I had to share them with you. They are the perfect addition to any Party Table, Fun for the Kids and of course they Look Great.

So what are Kandy Kones? Basically they are a wonderful way to display and serve Candy and Treats to the guests at the party.They are made from Heavy Card Stock Themed Paper twisted and Decorated on a Stick for the kids to carry around filled with Yummy Treats for them to snack on. Love That !!!

So I asked Geneviève to introduce us to her new Kandy Kone creations.  So lets see what she has to tell us about them in her own words.

What inspired you to create Kandy Kones?

I’ve been looking to design a fierce party product forever, but there’s SO MUCH out there that I knew whatever I launched needed to be FRESH!  It all came together a few weeks ago when I was asked to “define” the term “superchick”!

Simply stated, a superchick is a woman who ROCKS her life!  She’s a bombshell who radiates confidence, tells it like it is and takes EVERYTHING she does to the next level!  She’s someone who believes that life is too damn short to waste even a single second so she “Celebrates TODAY”!  She’s passionate, creative, bold and just plain FUN!
Are you a superckick?!  I know you ARE!  So go ahead, live like a rockstar, laugh till your abs hurt and love yourself as much as you love others!  I know you want to!  I DO!

That said, while planning my most recent event, a “Little Red Ridding Hood” themed party, I crafted pretty yet “traditional” cones and then << insert lightbulb!>> I pushed myself to “the next level! I SUPERCHICKed them!  By adding the wooden skewers and dangling ribbons my Kandy Kones were born!  The reaction to them has been nothing less than dazzling!

Can you tell my readers a little about the Kandy Kones and some ideas that they can do with them?

I love to bunch the Kandy Kones together in unexpected vessels (jars, cans, planters…) and let them shine on a dessert/buffet table.  But you could always “plant them” individually on a styrotray!  I’d also love to see them inserted in a door wreath!  Use them as take away favors!  The possibilities are endless!

Can you custom make the Kandy Kones to match any Party Theme?

Absolutely!  That’s my ultimate goal!!!

What have been kids reactions to your Kandy Kones?

The kids LOVE them!  They tend to eat the treats and use the Kandy Kones as “wands!  So flippin CUTE!  I had one tiny princess fill her Kandy Kone with Barbie shoes and offer it to her mommy as a “gift”!  =)

What do you recommend filling these Kandy Kones with?

Kandy Kones can be filled with any sweet or salty treats (candy, mini cookies and nuts are great)!  They can also be filled with small trinkets and party prizes (crayons, stickers, rings)!  Oh, oh, and  flowers, pretty little flowers! (fresh or dried!)  That would rock too!  (I love anything little!)

These Kandy Kones would also make great Party Favors for the kids to take home from the party as well.  Use them as your Table Centerpiece and on the way out have each child pick one to take with them and enjoy the treats inside for after the party. Is it just me or do you also love Unique Ideas like this?

I am so excited to share with you Step by Step Directions on How to Make a Paul Frank Julius Cake.  This was submitted to me by one of my followers.

I love Julius the Monkey which is one Paul Frank’s most known characters. Julius appears on a lot of Merchandise so I am sure you have seen him before, especially on clothing where he can be found a lot.

A little about Karen – Karen is not a Professional Cake Decorator.  She took all of the Wilton Cake Decorating Courses 18 months ago and it has become her new hobby. She loves reading blogs and online forums and sharing ideas with others that are just as passionate about cakes. She created this cake for her friend’s daughter who is a huge Paul Frank fan.

Here is what you will Need:

• A copy of the Paul Frank Party Invitation with Julius
• Cake Batter from Mix or Scratch (I used 2 boxes of Duncan Hines; Tip: If you call Duncan Hines with a question or comment on their cake batter, they will send you a coupon that you can use towards your next purchase.)
• Buttercream or Decorator’s Icing
• Color to tint the icing (I used Wilton colors: Scooby Doo Teal, Diego Skintone, Black, Red (no-taste)
• Wax Paper
• 8″x3″ Baking Pan
• 2  8″ Cake Circles/Boards
• Icing Bags & Tips (Wilton icing tip #789, #3, and 1M)
• Several Cupcake Baking Pans & solid color Liners
• Several Cooling Racks
• Cupcake Wrappers (I cut mine with a Cricut using the Cricut Lite Cupcake Wrappers Cartridge and scrapbook paper. If you don’t have a Cricut you can easily make them using a template and scalloped edge scissors to get the same effect.)
• A jar of Maraschino Cherries with stems
• Cupcake Tower (optional)

Karen’s Notes & Suggestions:

Before you begin, please read instructions completely so that you can plan your steps and ensure you have everything on hand.  I normally make and decorate the cake a day before it’s due.  I don’t worry about perfection, as long as you are consistent with your technique no one else will really notice any mistakes.  If there is a flaw in your icing, I find that’s the perfect spot to make a design to camouflage.

Don’t have all of the supplies on hand??

…improvise and use items that you have on hand (a microwave rack makes a great cooling rack).

…don’t have an 8″x3″ pan? Use 2 standard 8″x2″ pans and fill with buttercream icing between the layers.

Remember that it’s not about spending a lot of money, it’s all about having fun and there’s really no need to stress out!

Directions for making the Cake:

1. Bake the cake (any flavor you wish) in a greased 8″ x 3″ inch round baking pan (fill the pan 1/2 way).  Use the remaining batter in your cupcake pans that have the paper liners inserted.  Use an ice cream scoop for the cupcake portions and you’ll find that this makes less of a mess as well and also allows for even distrubition.

2. Let cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes and then remove from the pan and allow it to cool completely on the cooling rack.  Cupcakes left in the liners can be placed on the cooling racks once they come out of the oven.

3. Place cake on cake board and cover in teal icing using the Wilton icing tip #789. Refrigerate iced cake for 30 minutes and then smooth (I use a high density foam paint roller to smooth once the icing has crusted).

4. After you’ve made and assembled your cupcake wrappers, you can ice the cupcakes using Wilton tip #1M and then place them in the wrappers.  Ice half of the cupcakes with the remaining teal frosting and the other half with white frosting.  Don’t forget to add a maraschino cherry to the cupcakes with white icing so that they resemble the invitation and cake.

5. To make Julius, use the Frozen Butter Cream Transfer (FBCT) Method.  Tape a copy of the invitation to the cake board then tape a sheet of wax paper over that.  With Wilton tip #3 create Julius using white icing for the ice-cream and icing tinted with Wilton colors: Diego Skintone (for the face), Black (for the cherry stem, ears, eyes, and nose), and no-taste Red (for the mouth and cherry).  Keeping everything secured to the cake board, place this in the freezer until it hardens (at least 30 minutes).

6. For the final cake assembly, take the FBCT of Julius and center over the cake. Gently place it down and peel back the wax paper.  If you’d like to make designs around the cake, do that at this time.  Pull in designs from the cupcake wrapper if you used paper with a pattern or colors from your party theme.

7. I used a cupcake tower for my final display. You can easily make your own or purchase one.  Since your cake is round, it would also look nice to have the cupcakes displayed in a large circle around the cake alternating the teal and white cupcakes.

And there you have it: A Paul Frank Cake featuring the adorable Julius !!

These are great for anytime of the year, but would definitely be a fun addition to your Halloween Party or Monster Party Theme for the kids.

These are sold 4 per set and each one Measures 6.75 inches tall x 2.5 inches in diameter. The Monster Fun Pops are so easy to use.  Just add your Favorite Beverage, Juice, Pudding, Yogurt etc… to the indicated fill line, insert the handle and freeze.  When it’s done just flip and twist to remove your Ice Pop and let enjoy!

If you like the Monster Fun Pops you may also like the matching Monster Fun Bowls with Spoons. Now how fun are those? I also like the fact that all of these items are inexpensive and would also make a great Party Favor for the kids to take home from your party.

Who likes Chocolate? How about lots of Chocolate packed into a delicious Cake. If so then you will definitely like this Double Chocolate Chip Snack Cake that is so Simple to make. And I am going to share with you How you can make one too.

I made this for my last summer BBQ and the kids loved it and even went in for seconds.  Not only did it taste good, but it looked good as well. This is a great cake for any occasion, anytime of year. and for all of those who LOVE Chocolate.

So here is what you need to make your Double Chocolate Chip Snack Cake:

• 1 Package Devil’s Food Cake Mix with Pudding in the Mix
• 2 Eggs
• 1/2 Cup water
• 1/4 Cup Vegetable Oil
• 1/2 Teaspoon Cinnamon
• 1 Cup Semisweet Chocolate Chips, divided
• 1/4 Cup Packaged Brown Sugar
• 2 Tablespoons Butter or Margarine, Melted
• 3/4 Cup White Chocolate Chips

1. Preheat the oven to 350 Degrees

2. Grease a 9 inch round cake pan – I used an 8″ and it worked out just fine

3. Open Cake Mix and remove 3/4 Cup and set aside. Poor the rest into a bowl and mix in Eggs, Water, Oil and Cinnamon – beat for about 2 minutes.

4. Remove 1/2 Cup of mixed batter  – you can use this extra batter too make a couple Cupcakes, but will not be using it in this Cake.

5. Pour the remaining batter you just mixed into your 9″ Greased Cake Pan and Sprinkle 1/2 Cup of the Chocolate Chips on the top.

6. Now combine your reserved dry 3/4 Cup of Cake Mix with the Brown Sugar. Then Stir in your Melted Butter and the remaining 1/2 Chocolate Chips.  Mix Well and then add this over the batter in your pan.

7. Bake for about 35-40 Minutes or until your Toothpick comes out clean.

8. Let Cake Cool for a bit.

9. You can now take your White Chocolate Chips and melt them in a Plastic Food Bag in the microwave for 10 second intervals. Then cut the tip and drizzle over the cake. I then sprinkled some extra White & Chocolate Chips on top as well.

This Cake would make a great addition to a Kids Birthday Party – Kids love chocolate and I am happy to say it was Kid Approved at my house.

If you are looking for a delicious cupcake recipe using Macadamia Nuts than this is for you. In addition to the Macadamia Nuts they are topped with Toasted Coconut and the combination is so tasty I was amazed. They are so easy to make and I am going to share with you how right here. SWEET !!!

I just made these for the first time this weekend for my last BBQ of the summer. I decided on this recipe beacuse I just got a great deal on Chopped Macadamia Nuts and needed to come up with some ways to use them. My husband loves Macadamia Nuts and we all know they can be pricey, but when you find them on sale you have to take advantage. So I found this recipe for these cupcakes and decided to give them a try and was glad I did – They were a Hit with all including the kids.

Here is what you need to make these White Chocolate Macadamia Cupcakes:

• 1 Package of White Cake Mix & the ingredients to prepare it
• 1 Package (4 serving size) White Chocolate Flavor Instant Pudding Mix
• 3/4 Cup Chopped Macadamia Nuts (I added extra – lol)
• 1 1/2 Cups Flaked Coconut
• 1 Cup White Chocolate Chips
• 1 Tub (16 oz) White Frosting

So here are all my ingredients ready to go less the items needed to prepare my Cake Mix. Now I had a hard time finding the White Chocolate Pudding Mix, but I did find it in Sugar Free. I was nervous using Sugar Free, but in the end it worked out just fine and to think we may have saved a calorie or two was kinda nice. I also added in extra Macadamia Nuts – hey why not – we all love them and I had plenty on hand.

Next add in all the ingredients you need to prepare your White Cake Mix. Then add in your White Chocolate Pudding Mix and mix well. Once doe with that you can fold in your Chopped Macadamia Nuts. So Easy.

Line your Cupcake Pan with Liners and fill them with your batter. Recipe says you will get 20 Cupcake – I never get 20 Cupcakes. I ended up with 18. Then stick them into your oven on 350 Degrees for about 18 to 20 Minutes or until your Toothpick comes out clean.

While your Cupcakes are cooling you can prepare your Frosting. For this take your White Chocolate Chips and in a bowl stick them into the microwave to melt. Put them in for 2 minutes at 50% power, stirring every 30 seconds or so until melted and smooth. Once that is done let them cool for slightly and then mix then into your White Frosting.

To toast your Coconut just lay it out on a Cookie Sheet (ungreased) and stick in the oven at 350 degrees for about 6 minutes or until golden brown and let it cool completely.

Then just Frost your cooled Cupcakes and Top with the Toasted Coconut and you are good to go. How easy was that?

And here are couple of my Testers who give these White Chocolate Macadamia Cupcakes 2 Thumbs Up.

These really were delicious and one Cupcake I will definitely be making again – I actually think it may be on the top of my favorite list.

If you are making these for a Kids Birthday Party make sure no one has any nut allergies and you may want to leave some without the Toasted Coconut on top for those that may not like that flavor. Even without the Toasted Coconut they are wonderful. I had to leave some coconut off for my sister in law at the BBQ.
