Harry Potter Birthday Party

Ok fans the new Harry Potter Birthday Party Supplies are in.  Everyone is going crazy over the new movie Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and the reviews are amazing. Now lets make some of our own magic as I share with you all of the great items to go along with this Birthday Party Theme.

Now lets brew up some great Personalized Harry Potter Birthday Party Invitations. As always my favorite place to shop for some of the most unique choices is Ebay where you can find all the latest in Ticket Style Invitations, VIP pass invitations and Invitations you can add your child’s photo too and more. I also like that some of the sellers allow you to print them yourself which is great for those who wait until the last minute.

To save money you can buy one of the party packs – for instance the Harry Potter Deluxe Party Pack (as shown in photo above) includes: 8 invitations, dinner plates, cups, forks, spoons, activity placemats, 16 napkins, tablecover, centerpiece, mylar balloon, 24 balloons (2 colors), crepe paper rolls (2 colors), curling ribbon (2 colors), confetti and cake candles. You can add on extra of any item depending on your party size and there is also a basic version available as well.

There are also plenty of very cool Harry Potter Party Decorations available and one of my personal favorites is Hedwig the Owl.  Remember you can shop the Halloween areas in the stores for fun stuff and can probably pull out some from your own decorations to save some money. Just think Wizards, Witches, Magic, Wands, Stars and all things along those lines and I am sure you can find some great stuff laying around your own house.

Now for some fun you can give each guest their very own Harry Potter Wand and of course a Pair of Harry Potter  Glasses and they even have Harry Potter Sorting Hats available. Can you just see the kids wearing these? Now that would make for a perfect picture and remember these items can also double as your party favors.

If you are looking to have a pinata – you can find a Harry Potter Pinata or even a great Pull String Wizard Hat Pinata available.  Have fun with the fillers by using  some Harry Potter Candy , gummy frogs, slime, Harry Potter Tattoos and Stickers, Pop Rocks and other fun trinkets. You can really have fun with this theme so be original and think outside the box.

Now if you are the very creative type you can find a Harry Potter Cake Pan made by Wilton and decorate it yourself. You can also consider making Hogwarts, A Wizard Hat Cake, Wizard Hat Cupcakes and even a Frog.  Again this another area you can have lots of fun with – be creative and create something very magical. I have seen some amazing Harry Potter Cake photos by searching Google images – give it a try and see some of the wonderful creations other have made to inspire you.

Now we can talk about Harry Potter Party Favors. First I have to share one of my favorite party favors I just posted the other day that the kids will absolutely love – Exploding Frog Soaps – these are so unique. Of course you can also get the Harry Potter Party Favor Box which includes: a Harry Potter sticker sheet, assorted glow stick, wizard glasses, lightning bolt tattoo and an owl bean bag.

You can also find some really great choices on EBay where you will find Personalized Harry Potter Party Favors and a lot of other neat things. The one thing I have to say here is to have a budget in mind or you will find yourself spending way too much money. Keep it Simple and always remember that a party favor is a small token to say Thanks for coming to the party.

One more thing I have to share for this party that will take your Harry Potter Party from ordinary to over the top and is one of my favorite party items.  The The Half-Blood Prince – Harry Potter Standup. So what exactly is that you ask? It is a life size cardboard standup of Harry Potter standing at 66″ Tall. Have this set up at the party and your guests can have their photos taken with him and you can print them and use these as your Thank You note to send to them after the party. Then this will double as a room decoration after the party for your little fan. These are such a hit at the parties – trust me.  Other Standups available from the  Half-Blood Price are: Professor Snape, Professor Dumbledore, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley.
