How to make Ladybug Cupcakes

Ladybug Cupcake

These cupcakes were shared with me by my friend Kim who I think completely out did herself with these cuties. I must say that these are one of the cutest Ladybug Cupcake designs I have seen.  So I am going to share with you how easy these are to make for your own Ladybug Birthday Party.  So get ready to learn how simple it really is.

Kim actually made Strawberry Cupcakes for these, but you can use any flavor cupcake you desire. She then colored Vanilla Frosting Red using Red Food Coloring – the more you add the more red it becomes. If you want a Pink color to go along with the Oh So Sweet Ladybug Party Theme, just stop when it is pink or use Strawberry Frosting.

She then took Mini Oreo Cookies which she covered with Black Icing from the tube and stuck on two Mini M&M Candies and added dots in the middle of each for eyeballs using the same black icing.  Then she added on a cute smile using a single strand of Red Licorice cut to size.  Next she made a black line down the back using the black icing and added 3 regular M&M’s to each side for the spots. To finish it off she added in two pieces of black licorice for the antenna and your Ladybug Cupcake is now complete and adorable. Almost too cute to eat I think, but Kim thought otherwise and ate all the cupcakes that were left over from the party.

You can also use a Cupcake Stand or Display for these and turn them into the centerpiece on your table for the party and watch as all your guests Ohhhh and Ahhhh over your Ladybug Creations. Thanks again Kim for a great share and a job well done – I am sure you made lots of kids smile as they saw these.
