If you follow my posts you know I love Cupcakes and I love turning the decorating of them into an activity the kids can do. These Santa Cupcakes are another fun cupcake you can create at your Holiday or Christmas Party. They are also a great activity for your Classroom or Girl Scout and Boy Scout Troop Parties. They are simple to make and of course yummy to eat. Have your cupcakes baked and cooled prior to the decorating and the kids will add the frosting and the rest. Just make sure to have one sample Santa Cupcake created so they know what their finished cupcake should look like.
Here is what you will need:
- Baked and Cooled Cupcakes – Flavor of your Choice
- Vanilla Frosting
- Red & Green Holiday M&M’s
- Mini Marshmallows
- Red Sugar Crystals
Put your Red Sugar Crystals in a bowl or on a plate so you will be able to dip your cupcake in it. First have the kids frost their cupcakes with the Vanilla Frosting. Then they will dip the top of the cupcake into the Red Sugar just to cover about 1/4 of the top – this will form Santa’s Hat and the Red Crystal Sugar will add some fun sparkle. You can also have them add it on with a spoon, but it is much easier to dip. Then at the base of the sugar they will add 3 or more mini marshmallows to for the rim of Santa’s Hat and one at the side for the Pom Pom. Take 2 green M&M’s to make Santa’s Eyes and a Red M&M for his rosy nose. Now for his beard – Line the bottom of the cupcake with mini marshmallows then take some more frosting and add some to the top of those so you can stick on some more to give his beard a fluffy 3D look. And that is it – you have your Santa Cupcakes that were so easy to make. Next thing is to have the kids say Ho Ho Ho in my mouth this cupcake must go. Enjoy and have fun!!!

These Santa Party Supplies are a perfect match for your Santa Cupcakes – they are so perfect and festive. I think Santa’s Face is adorable and I really love how the napkin is his buttons and belt. These party goods are available in a pack or all the pieces can be purchased separately.
Last year I made a Squidoo page all about Santa’s Hat and how wearing them every Christmas is a tradition in my family. You can also find lots of styles of his hat available there so you can start your own traditions.
